Singapore ACES-CARES Joint Technical Workshop

CARES and ACES (Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore) has jointly organised a Technical Workshop, supported by SCAL (The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd) on SAC Specialist Builders Certification Schemes.

The Specialist Builder's Product Certification Schemes (SBPCS) offered by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) provides assurance on the certifications carried out by competent Certification Bodies (CBs), will be recognised by the Building Construction Authority (BCA) for their respective regimes. The new areas also aim to raise the competency and professionalism of specialist builders under the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Builders Licensing Framework. 

Overall, the SAC's Specialist Builder's Product Certification Scheme provides assurance to clients, regulators, and stakeholders that certified SBs possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience required to carry out construction works safely and efficiently, and to a high standard.

• In-Situ Post Tensioning Works (CT-22) 
• Precast Concrete Products (CT-30) 
• Ground Support & Stabilisation Works for Earth Retaining and Stabilising Structures (ERSS) – (CT-28) 
• Piling Works (CT-32)
